Christ is their king. Believers have this honour, that they are the subjects of Christ, and have Him for their king (Zechariah 9:9). A good king is the glory of his people; wicked kings are the shame and sorrow of their people, but good kings both their glory and their joy. Christ hath all qualifications of a glorious king. He is a wise king, a merciful king, a high-born king, a bountiful king, a holy king. It is an honour to the people of God that they have such a king.
