(April 20th): Christ Our Sanctification

Reading: “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption”—1 Corinthians 1:30

“There is more than one key to unlock the door to a sanctified life,” said Albert Martin. “God gives us a whole key ring.” Union with Christ is one of the master keys on that key ring. If I fail to understand what I am and what I possess by virtue of my union to Christ, I cannot begin to navigate my way through scripture, fulfilling the many commands that specifically relate to my sanctification. Union with Christ is a master key. When I grasp the significance of God’s placing me in union with Christ I will be assured that I have the wherewithal in Him to fulfill the divine imperatives regarding my sanctification. It is only in union with Christ that I can. “I can do all things through Christ that strengtheneth me.”
